One evening - but not just any evening. The most difficult evening of the year for the modern man. Valentines Day.

Can Patrick get over his crush on American vocalist Jenny Lewis before it destroys his own relationship with the lovely, if slightly pushy Alice?

Can Vince pluck up the courage to tell wife-to-be Suzy that he's not actually a multi-millionaire film star and actually an office worker who lives above a hairdressers?

Will the lovely Laura save our bewildered hero Alex as he struggles to prepare for life without her, now she's been naughty and run off to Denmark with a man called Erik?

Will the narrator ever shut up?

One evening - many questions. Very little chance of a happy ending, to be honest.
