Just weeks after his 24^th birthday, Martin is falling apart.

Being told by his excited mother that he is only 41 years off taking his pension, surely it’s time for our frustrated, lazy hero to wake up to the reality that he’s going nowhere in life?

Trapped at the bottom of the career ladder, living in grotty rented accommodation where car crime gets him down, and with a disillusioned bin-man from the estate being his only friend, Martin has some big changes to make.

There’s only so long you can watch your former school teachers sing classic Britpop down your local pub. There’s only so long you can argue with your girlfriend about her earrings before it gets tedious. There’s only so long you can carry on being ashamed with the fact you got a ‘g’ for Maths GCSE when you are in line to take over your parents' accountancy firm. There’s only so long you can carry on being a disappointment to those around you.

A chance meeting with Doug; his childhood best friend, and now a company executive with two girlfriends, huge earnings and a car which is both a beast and a bitch is the reality check Martin needed – he’s falling behind.

Time to propose to the girlfriend! Time to find a cure for cancer! Time to make people proud! But nobody said progression would be easy…
